WIKIT WYSTRI WARRICK KICKS - CUSTOM ASCK NIKE DUNK HI
I recently got the opportunity to design a pair of shoes around everyone’s favorite tree-dwelling teddy bear creature, the Ewok. Brisk commissioned me to create two pairs of sneakers based on both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
Having never attempted fabric-based custom shoe design, I decided that holding out for nearly seven years in custom shoes until now to touch the Star Wars universe was the perfect chance to step my game up and try something new. As a kid, Return of the Jedi was my favorite movie, and Wikit is the most famous Ewok from the film, so when I found fuzz-lined 6.0’s I took it as a sign to give it a shot. Star Wars is one of a handful of inspirations that got me on the road to being a full-time artist, so taking the first step in a new direction was a bit more comfortable for me while working within a theme I know so well.
Plus, the shoes were black when I started them, so I got to lean on my painting crutch a little bit, if only to flip the color! Stay tuned for Dark Side giveaway info!

A Little Bit On The Custom Sneakers Side: Jacob Patterson will be giving away these one-of-a-kind custom Eewok Nikes on May 4th (May the 4th be with you!) over on A Show Called Kicks.
These are the “Light Side” shoes that Patterson did for Brisk’s collab with Star Wars involving Uncap The App and Thoughts from the Dark Side.
Speaking of the Dark Side, we’re hoping Mr. Patterson does a pair of custom Sith kicks. Or maybe a pair devoted to the most heinous evil of all evils in the Star Wars universe: Gungans.
Took a while, but I got em done! I feel like I say that with every pair… I enjoyed making these ones because it was something totally new.

I can’t believe Thune fully animated this. NUTS! She told me via gchat that if she doesn’t get 1000 new followers because of this hard work she will burn down an orphanage. I was like … do they even have those anymore? And of course they do but like, i am reading Cider House Rules right now so i have this very specific view of 1930’s New England in my head and I didn’t have coffee at the time so … you know how brains are pre coffee. Well she linked me to some ‘nages near here (that is a cool new was of saying orphanages). So i think she is serious. I am actually a little scared.
